Dutch and Russian languages have been added to Switch 2 for the “Text-to-Speech” function in accessibility settings, as well as for “Switching speech and text during GameChat.” General system stability improvements are also claimed.

Nintendo Switch received more noticeable changes: the Nintendo eShop interface has been redesigned, color adaptation to the system theme has been added for “Basic Dark,” PIN verification has been introduced for eShop access and payment, and the ability to rewind videos by 10 seconds using ZL and ZR buttons in News and eShop has been added. Stability has been improved.

This is the first update since April 2026.

Nintendo Music also received an update — new Free Roam mode tracks from the Mario Kart World soundtrack have been added, including compositions from Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3.

The most significant change concerns the store itself. The phrase “improved stability and user experience” is not just empty words, as the Nintendo eShop on the original Switch finally works significantly better. Players report that the store no longer lags, scrolling has become smoother, and finding good deals no longer causes interface difficulties.
