Arc Raiders disables free kits for several map conditions - developers change game rules
Developers addressed the "freebie" problem.
Arc Raiders features a system of free kits: players receive a random basic set of simple weapons and equipment. On the one hand, this ensures that even after a series of failures, a player can continue to go on raids with a weapon, not just a pickaxe, but on the other hand, it creates a problem. Nothing prevents a user with free kits from playing with such sets forever and not risking valuable equipment in case of death.
Players have complained about this since release, as "freebies" boldly engaged in PvP, as they didn't risk their items. The problem of "freebies" was particularly acute during "night raids" or when the "close scrutiny" condition was active, when "Assessors" — robots with valuable loot, guarded by powerful "Incinerators" whose beams can quickly burn players — appeared on the map.
Free weapons barely damaged "Incinerators," and players with such kits couldn't be of much use, yet they had the opportunity to ambush players with full equipment and, with some chance, kill them, taking their valuables. At the same time, they risked nothing themselves — their equipment was free.
However, with the release of the June update, the rules of the game in Arc Raiders have changed: now free kits are disabled for night raids and close scrutiny — players will have to bring their own equipment.

The developers clarified that this is a temporary change that will be tested over the next three weeks. In the future, after evaluating its impact and analyzing player feedback, the restriction may be added to other map conditions.
Currently, a new event is underway in Arc Raiders — players can unlock cosmetic rewards by accumulating a certain number of points.
