In June, Overhype Studios returned to Battle Brothers. The developers released update v1.5.2.2 for the tactics game, featuring new content and improvements.
For example, several weapon models and new enemies were added to the game. The developers also noted that after a certain stage of the game, bandits cease to be perceived as a threat, so they added a new type of enemy:
Players most often encounter the enemy bandit faction early in the game, but it loses relevance quite sharply by the mid and late stages. Brigand Raiders pose a serious threat initially, but are no longer a real challenge for more experienced and well-equipped mercenaries. To maintain the relevance of this faction in the mid-game, we have added a new tier of bandits – the Brigand Marauders.
Brigand Marauders are described as experienced bandits who “not only have better stats and more perks compared to Raiders,” but also use a completely new set of worn, yet still powerful, armor. Initially, such enemies will appear as a kind of leaders of bandit groups, and then they will begin to travel the world in full groups, creating a new threat for players.
