A 72-minute video featuring State of Decay 3 gameplay has appeared online. The video was recorded by a content creator who visited Undead Labs and gained access to an early version of the game.

Unlike trailers and promotional videos, the recording shows a continuous gameplay session from the very beginning. It includes the tutorial, the creation of the first safe base, and the initial character development.

The material was recorded during an early alpha stage. Many mechanics, animations, visual elements, and balance are still under development. Technical imperfections and temporary assets are noticeable in the video.

Viewers were shown exploration of the open world, scavenging for supplies in abandoned buildings, resource management, and car rides.

The video also reveals details of the combat system. The recording shows battles with regular zombies, with more dangerous enemy variants, as well as clearing infection outbreaks and destroying nests.
