The update continues the game's storyline. In the new chapter "The Bloodied Jewel," players will travel to the city of Lut Gholein, familiar to Diablo II fans. The developers have recreated its iconic locations, including the main gates and central square. The region is now under the control of Andariel's forces.
Blizzard has added new endgame content. The Helliquary system has been expanded with three new bosses: Iradus the False Prophet, who wields the power of the sun, the ancient Soulfeeder, and Gulakht of the Night Clan, who attacks with lightning.
