The developers of the truck driver simulators Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator announced the full release of update 1.60. Previously, players could test the update in the “beta branch.”
Both projects received an improved material system for interiors. According to the developers, it “significantly enhances” the quality of lighting and the visual detail of some truck models' interiors. The main focus was on how cabin materials react to light, which “makes the cabin more detailed and visually pleasing.”
The developers made “minor adjustments” to global illumination and improved graphics quality in bad weather conditions.
Now, players in ETS 2 and ATS have access to a full in-game radio — five stations are offered, including Rust FM, Escape, PUMP IT!, Pop Gear, and Roadio, covering various musical genres. A widget with information about the station and the currently playing track is also available:
The rest mechanic has been expanded: players are now allowed to choose its duration. The fatigue assessment system has been divided into two components: driver fatigue and time until mandatory rest (this option can be turned off).
