The PlayStation 1 set by user AirBricks95 attracted a lot of attention on the LEGO Ideas platform, where users regularly publish their builds. If a project gathers enough votes there, the LEGO team studies it in more detail to then decide whether to release a particular set from the community.

AirBricks95's creation quickly gathered over 10,000 votes. Now, thanks to insiders DarthBeardBrix and TheBrickNews, information has appeared online that LEGO plans to release the LEGO PS1 set between October and December 2026 (of course, all of this should currently be taken as a rumor or leak).

Its cost will be $159 (11,618 rubles), and the set itself will include 1911 parts. Model number "#72306 – Sony PlayStation 1 Console" also contains one controller.

The number of parts indicates that this is a medium-sized set – significantly larger than the SEGA Mega Drive, which LEGO recently released, but smaller than the NES set, which came with a TV.

Fans of the construction sets hope that the new product will feature interactive elements, such as an opening disc drive or clickable buttons.
