PLAYERUNKNOWN Productions made Prologue: Go Wayback! completely free in June. The project was launched in "early access" on Steam last November, but it didn't become a big hit — the peak online at launch exceeded 180 players.

Until recently, Prologue: Go Wayback! was sold, but the developers "were forced to make a number of difficult decisions regarding the future of the studio," including discontinuing the development of this game. They presented the latest update and addressed the community:

Now Go Wayback! is available for free — any player can add it to their library. We also removed the game from early access, as we considered it wrong to leave it in this status after development ceased. This is not the full release format we originally planned, but this way we can keep the game available on Steam without misleading future users.

The developers said they were able to reach an agreement with Steam (Valve). The store is offering extended refunds for the game: for two months — until August 17 of this year, players "will have access to self-service refunds [upon request] without restrictions on playtime or purchase date."

The Prologue: Go Wayback! page on Steam is available at the following link. In terms of gameplay, this project is an open-world survival game: players will journey through a generated map, needing to reach a meteorological tower.
