Behaviour Interactive and Devolver Digital announced in June the start of testing for Serious Sam: Shatterverse on PC via Steam. The project is positioned as a cooperative roguelite-shooter that can be played solo or in a group of up to five players.

In Serious Sam: Shatterverse, players will be offered to play as different versions of Sams and travel through changing universes:

Wield a devastating arsenal of weapons, unlock powerful bonuses, and experiment with run modifiers that drastically change gameplay. In true roguelite fashion, death is not the end, and each playthrough opens the path to new strategies and limitless possibilities in Shatterverse.

The Serious Sam: Shatterverse page on Steam is available at the following link. To sign up for the playtest, you need to click the "Request Access" button. The developers reported that they plan to expand the group of players over time, and those already admitted can invite friends. This round of testing will last until June 22.

Serious Sam: Shatterverse does not yet have a precise release date, but the website indicates a release window of 2026. The game will also be available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
