Details of the psychological horror game Project Sundown from Skeleton Key studio have been leaked. The game told the story of engineer Ava, who searches for a missing scientist in a research complex.

Details have emerged online about a canceled horror game from Skeleton Key studio, owned by Wizards of the Coast. The project, codenamed Project Sundown, combined psychological horror, science fiction, and survival elements.

The main character was to be engineer Ava, who went to a research complex to search for the missing scientist Victoria. At the station, she was met with dangerous experiments, humanoid cyborgs, and robot copies of Ava herself, the Robo-Avas.

Players were to explore the complex, searching for weapons and resources for survival. Unusual items mentioned include a metal femur used as a crowbar and an “Elixir of Eternity” — a syringe with human stem cells that served as a first aid kit.

One of the main antagonists was a giant robot named Alex. He couldn't speak and communicated using recordings of songs from the 1970s and 1980s, while simultaneously pursuing the protagonist throughout the complex.

The project was canceled in 2025. Skeleton Key is currently working on a new game under the direction of Corinne Busche, who previously led the development of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
