In June, the developers of the racing game CarX Street announced the testing of the "PTR 1.13.5" update. It includes physics changes and a "driving assistant."
The developers said that they have reworked the aerodynamic settings for most cars: "now more cars will become competitive in Time Attack mode, which will reduce the gap between different models in the car park."
They also updated the parameters of the cars' center of mass. The new settings are designed to reduce "the cars' tendency to roll over and excessive body roll in corners," which will allow for more effective high-speed cornering and better acceleration out of a corner after passing the apex.
In addition, the developers reduced the impact of collisions with objects on the road and reduced the likelihood of the car getting stuck on curbs and roadsides in mountainous areas of the city.
The game engine received an update - graphics were improved and settings were added: "draw distance," "texture quality," "reflection quality."
For the "driving assistant," the algorithms were reworked, this update "will allow for more aggressive cornering without excessive intervention of the assistant in the driving process."
Currently, the update for CarX Street is available in "beta" format, the release date for the "release" version has not yet been announced.
Previously, CarX Street introduced update 1.13.0 with new cars and the "Wangan" and "Daikoku" highways, as well as other improvements and fixes:
- Added brightness adjustment.
- Improved overall game graphics.
- Completely updated player profile window.
- Added Film Grain effect
- Fixed an error when publishing vinyls.
- Fixed an issue with displaying smoke color and splashes from under the wheels in rainy weather.
