New Sales Leader Named in Japan - Nintendo Loses Top Spot

Konami's new release debuted at the top of Famitsu's weekly ranking, displacing the previous leader. The remaining positions in the top 10 were predominantly occupied by games for Switch 2.

Famitsu published the latest game sales ranking in Japan for the week. The new chart leader is Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027 from Konami, which confidently surpassed the previous leader, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.

The main event of the week was the release of Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027. The new installment in the Konami series sold over 100,000 copies and immediately took first place.
