EA is confident: AI has eliminated routine and accelerated development

Speaking at Game Business Live as part of Summer Game Fest, Electronic Arts' President of Business Development, Laura Miele, noted the impact of AI on the game development process and the potential reduction in production cycles.

According to her, AI helps remove obstacles in development:

I always wanted to help creators remove obstacles from the process. And that's exactly what AI does.

She added:

AI has eliminated some of the monotonous work. I've seen faster prototyping, idea development, and shorter discussions. I am confident that eliminating routine leads to a real growth in creativity.

EA is actively promoting the use of AI among its nearly 15,000 employees — from code and art to management tasks.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson called AI "the foundation of the company's business" in 2023.
