Classic Tekken Arrives on PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2 Today

The original Tekken will be released outside of PlayStation for the first time - on June 25, 2026, the game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Tekken, which started one of the most famous fighting game series, will be released on modern platforms after more than 30 years. On June 25, 2026, the game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The original Tekken, which remained a PlayStation exclusive for over 30 years, will be part of Hamster Corporation's Arcade Archives 2 lineup. The series includes arcade versions of classic games with emulation of the original hardware.

The re-release will cost $16.99. Players will be offered several new modes: Time Attack Mode, Hi Score Mode, and Caravan Mode.

An Original Mode with additional settings will also be available. Users will be able to change the difficulty level, reassign buttons, rewind gameplay, and create multiple saves.

The re-release will support VRR technology for smoother visuals.
