GTA VI Banned in Several Countries Even Before Release - Russia Included in the List
GTA VI has been restricted even before its release: in several countries, the game will not be officially sold, and the disc-less edition with only a download code may complicate access for some players.
Information about GTA VI's availability emerged after the PlayStation website update. In the FAQ about a free month of GTA+ for those who pre-ordered the digital version, a list of countries where the game will not be available was noticed. Among them are Russia, China, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and Taiwan.
This means that in these regions, GTA VI cannot be purchased through official stores – neither digitally nor on physical media. The situation is exacerbated by the edition format: the boxed version contains only a download code, without a disc, so the usual import of discs does not solve the problem.
An industry-wide release will be unavailable to millions of users at launch. Some players will try to circumvent restrictions through accounts from other regions and unofficial keys.
