On June 25, the traditional Steam Summer Sale began. Thousands of games and add-ons received discounts.
Players finally got the opportunity to obtain collectible cards for crafting badges, as the system now operates under new rules and they did not drop before the promotion began. Valve previously stated:
We have changed the system for obtaining seasonal sale collectible cards: Winter and Summer Sale cards will no longer drop when crafting a game badge in the week leading up to the sale. If you craft it during a seasonal sale, you will still receive a collectible card in addition to the standard rewards.
Earlier, Valve published a sale trailer and showed several games, including: No Man's Sky; Solasta II; Overcooked! 2; Astroneer; Dying Light: The Beast; Hades II; Split Fiction; Human Fall Flat; Totally Accurate Battle Simulator; Dynasty Warriors: Origins; Football Manager 26; Monster Hunter Wilds, as well as Motorslice.
