Rockstar recently revealed new details about GTA VI. The company confirmed that the physical edition would only include a download code instead of a disc. The decision sparked a mixed reaction. Some stores have already stated that they will not sell the game. Against this backdrop, concerns arose that other publishers might also abandon discs.
However, Insomniac Games assured that Marvel's Wolverine would not go down that path. Responding to a user's question about the game's physical edition, the studio stated: "The physical version will include a disc in the box."
Rockstar's abandonment of discs could be related to the desire to reduce the cost of producing physical copies and keep the price of GTA VI at $80. Another probable reason is to combat leaks. This year, before release, materials for Forza Horizon 6 and Subnautica 2 had already appeared online.
