Whacktown to be Released in Russia: Tabletop Gangster Showdowns in the Spirit of GTA
Niza Games publishing house will localize the Whacktown board game, so users from Russia will also be able to acquire gangs, capture locations in a big city, earn money and reputation, and get to know the criminal world better.
Employees of the Niza Games publishing house announced that they will release the Whacktown board game in Russia, from the creator of "Radlands: Ruined Earth", designed for 2-4 players.
This project will transport gamers to a neon-drenched city where gangster intrigues and chaos reign. Participants will have to move their gangs across a randomly generated grid. The base game includes 76 different locations, 20 of which form the current 4x5 city grid for a game.
Users will have to play scam cards, rest and skip turns, spoil rivals' lives, control territories, and visit places that can be accessed with money, information, reputation, or health.
To win, you must either eliminate all other players or be the first to score 10 reputation points. A round in Whacktown lasts about 30-45 minutes, so you can play it quickly.
According to Niza Games, all interaction in this board game is based on the principle of "every man for himself". Therefore, the game does not feel offensive and does not psychologically burden as much as other projects in a similar setting.
