The Steam Machine, which Valve promotes as a hybrid PC and console, apparently will not be able to guarantee games running in 4K at 60 FPS. The company quietly changed the device's technical description and removed the mention of performance, leaving only information about 4K support using AMD FSR 4.1.
Initially, one of the main features of the Steam Machine was the ability to run Steam games in 4K resolution at 60 FPS thanks to AMD FSR upscaling technology. This was supposed to justify the high cost of the device.
Currently, the official specifications page only mentions 4K support via FSR 4.1. The mention of 60 frames per second has disappeared without any announcements from Valve.
