After major audio changes and the June 1.60 update with graphical improvements and radio stations, the developers have begun testing the next patch.
The main new feature of version 1.61 is the Multi-Function Display system, which allows quick control of lighting, truck functions, and route information without the need to memorize a large number of keys. The interface supports keyboard, mouse, gamepad, and steering wheel controller buttons.
The update adds a redesigned quick menu, which should make managing ETS2 and ATS systems more intuitive, especially for newcomers.
This is a step towards the games' release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The console versions are expected to be released in early 2027, although SCS Software has not officially confirmed this information.
The beta version of patch 1.61 is already available, and the full release of the update is expected in the coming weeks.
