In June, Grimlore Games and THQ Nordic released a major update for Titan Quest II, “Chapter 4: “Wild Lands”,” which added a fourth chapter and a lot of new content to the game.

The ARPG authors introduced a new interface processing setting when using AMD FSR Frame Generation. Players can now enable Extract mode to improve performance. However, the developers warned of potential issues: “this may lead to visual artifacts.”

“Initial support” for launching the game on additional monitors was also added. Players need to move the game window to the desired screen before switching to “windowed fullscreen mode.”

A frame rate limit for menus and loading screens has been introduced (defaulting to 60 FPS).

The “hide helmet” option is now located in the character-specific settings section.

Some other changes and improvements:

  • Fixed an issue where the centaur boss fight sometimes did not complete correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where the character would get stuck on some ladders.
  • Fixed interaction with interactive objects.
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to “repeatedly loot a secret arsenal and get rich quickly.”
  • Fixed memory leaks related to ability buffering and one of the modifiers.
  • Reduced CPU load from some visual effects in the new chapter.
  • Reduced stuttering when equipping new items, caused by animation updates.
  • Fixed stuttering caused by UI updates, especially when summoned creatures appear and disappear.
