Warhammer: Necromunda Prepares for New Edition and Miniature Set Releases
Thanks to The Big Summer Warhammer Preview Show 2026 event, it has been announced that the Warhammer: Necromunda tabletop game is preparing for a new edition. Gamers will receive a starter set containing two gangs – the “Matriarch’s Blades” from House Escher and the “Furnace Platers” from House Goliath.
Each gang consists of eight brand-new plastic miniatures. Escher are distinguished by feathers, furs, daring hairstyles, and heels that could well pass for weapons. Goliaths, on the other hand, are massive fighters in plate armor, armed with repurposed tools from foundries.
The box includes pre-made gang rosters, a double-sided game board, dice, a range ruler, templates, condition and status markers, gang tactic cards, and campaign cards. A new core rulebook will be released. Campaigns have been refined to give players more flexibility, and dice roll rules have changed – now every roll in the game matters.
The rulebook will be available both as part of the starter set and separately. The set also includes the “Factorum Ruined Pipes” terrain (which can be purchased separately). The gang tactic cards and campaign cards from the set, of course, will also be available for separate purchase. They are convenient for tracking your territories, generating scenarios, and applying tactics to achieve supremacy in battle.
A new gang book with updated rules will be released. With the release of the new edition, rules from old publications will be replaced. The books contain lore, information about gangs, fighter and equipment profiles, rules for mercenaries, brutes, hangers-on, and pets.
A series of “Hive Team” sets will become available. Each includes leaders, champions, gangers, recruits, a sprue with weapons and upgrades for more equipment choices. Houses Escher, Goliath, Orlock, Van Saar, Cawdor, and Delaque will receive their own boxes.
