The creators of the survival sandbox game Terraria recently published the June development diary. Work on update 1.4.5.7 continues, and the Re-Logic studio decided to reveal some details.

According to the Terraria authors, they want to release the “last (or almost last)” hotfix for Bigger and Boulder and move on. The plan for implementing crossplay (after version 1.4.5.7) has already been developed:

[…] we are getting closer to completing what is perhaps the largest hotfix update in Terraria's history. We are confident that the time spent is worth it, as we are trying to address a number of accumulated issues simultaneously. Of course, your opinion is important to us, and we look forward to your feedback.

Work on balance continues: this month, the developers spent a lot of time on weapons to ensure they are interesting to use and worth attention. In parallel, they worked on internal systems, which “should improve the overall gameplay experience.”

Terraria developers also confirmed that they heard feedback about yo-yos and “finally decided to address this.” Now Re-Logic is considering making some yo-yo models “more interesting and unique.”

They published a teaser spoiler:
