Recently, the developers of Grand Theft Auto VI published new screenshots of the game. They showed not only characters but also various vehicle models.

Rockstar Games is known for its attention to detail, and some players decided to examine the cars from GTA VI and look for analogues in popular racing games, such as Forza Horizon 6.

Ahmed_Sh_115 drew attention to several comparative screenshots from Gamer Snack and highly praised the models from GTA VI:

Real 3D panel gaps instead of flat 2D seams with painted ambient occlusion imitation. For the underbody and chassis, they modeled detailed suspension elements appropriate for the era (real wishbones and suspension components), instead of using flat "baked" 2D textures. In addition, this is the first game in the GTA series that finally uses full PBR [Physically Based Rendering] instead of the old Phong lighting model from GTA V. The vehicle technologies in GTA VI can literally humble many specialized racing games.

The user Gamer Snack also recalled another well-known racing project — Gran Turismo 7.

cjtangmi noted that a "worthy competitor" (in terms of graphics quality) has finally appeared, and mawerick_mc praised the RAGE engine as "capable of keeping pace with specialized racing games."

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released in November of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
