Anastasia Fyodorovna Snezhnaya baffled Genshin Impact fans - they don't understand how to properly call her

In late June, the creators of Genshin Impact published several teasers for the 7.x update line. miHoYo (HoYoverse) introduced various heroes from Snezhnaya, and fans had problems with one of the girls.

Most characters have "simple" names: Vesna, Mitya, Alyosha, Danika, but there is Anastasia Fyodorovna Snezhnaya. This confused Japanese players: they usually call heroes by their first names, so the options "Anastasia", "Ana" quickly spread, and the pronunciation "Nastasha" and "Tsaritsa" are also found.

However, not everyone accepted this approach, and in the Japanese Genshin Impact community, the heroine also began to be called "Snezhnaya" (which is also the name of the new region from the 7.x updates). In addition, the patronymic "Fyodorovna" is used.

A specific variant of writing the heroine's name also appeared, which looks like this: "[ー・ー・ー]" — and it became very popular. The authors of the idea removed all katakana characters from the entry, and in the end, only symbols for long vowels and separators between parts of the name remained.

Thanks to this entry, Anastasia Fyodorovna Snezhnaya got the nickname "sa" (this is how this sequence is read in Morse code in Japanese).

The release of update 7.0 for Genshin Impact is expected in August of this year.
