Splatoon Raiders will be released on July 23, 2026, on Switch 2 and will be a story-driven spin-off of the series.
Splatoon Raiders is a third-person shooter designed for a single player, with support for local and online co-op for up to four people. Players will be able to create an Inkling or Octoling character and, together with the Deep Cut team and the Exploration Bot, explore the Spirhalite Islands in search of treasures guarded by enemies. Also, daily comics telling the backstory of the game's events will be released in the Nintendo Today app.
During the presentation, Nintendo showed new gadgets and weapons. Among them are the Shot Pot, which works as a stationary turret, the Splatchet, which cuts enemies, and the Splatellites, which spread ink over an area. All items can be upgraded.
New enemies with different attack types and three difficulty levels were shown. If necessary, players will be able to summon an ally for assistance in passing.
On the release day of Splatoon Raiders, amiibo figures, including Shiver, Frye, and Big Man, will also go on sale.
