In July, Frontier Developments studio introduced a major update called “Operations Update” for the space simulator Elite Dangerous, which adds new content and various improvements to the game.

For example, players will be able to perform operations — these missions can be started either solo or as part of a squad:

Matchmaking is available to fill the remaining slots. Once an Operation begins, all Commanders are transported to the new Operation Runner ship — a specialized deployment vessel that delivers the team directly to the designated scenario system.

Currently, the creators of Elite Dangerous offer players six operations, but they plan to add new ones in the future.

In addition, the update for Elite Dangerous adds the Nomad ship, which is “designed for exploration and movement across planetary surfaces with exceptional maneuverability.” It is equipped with a MK II biological scanner, which can detect signals directly from the cockpit.
