Embark Studios revealed how the ARC Raiders analytics system works. During peak online periods, developers processed up to 30 TB of data daily, recording every shot and over 100 billion in-game events.

Data engineer Mattias Andersson reported at the Nexon conference that the studio tracks over a thousand types of events — from player movements and hits to every firefight. Information enters the analytics system with a delay of less than two seconds, allowing for almost immediate analysis of what is happening in matches.

The highest load occurred between November 2025 and February 2026, when ARC Raiders' online presence on Steam exceeded 400,000 concurrent players. During this time, the system processed over 100 billion events per day.

The collected data is not only used to combat cheaters. It helps find bugs, balance weapons, and improve the matchmaking system. It takes into account who initiates combat first and how aggressively a user plays, so PvP enthusiasts are more likely to encounter each other, while those who prefer to avoid conflicts are placed in calmer sessions.

Developers also use tools to view full match recordings, player movement maps, and heatmaps of the most frequent elimination locations. This helps to quickly identify problems and improve gameplay.
