The developers of Path of Exile 2 continue to track various player builds and highlight their favorites. Recently, their attention was drawn to a build that allows players to “solve their problems with an exorbitant number of exploding toads.”
Yuzo TV proposed the “Toad-mancer” build, which is based on the Doedre's Undoing support gem — it enhances curse skills:
Enhanced skills create an area that curses enemies within it and spawns Witch Toads in that area. Witch Toads leap at approaching enemies and more aggressively seek out cursed enemies. After a leap that hits an enemy, Dark Aftermath triggers, exploding the toad.
Initially, you can have up to four toads, but Yuzo wanted more: “There are actually only two ways to scale this skill – the level of the leading gem and increasing limits,” he managed to “max out” the leading gem to level 40.
Any curse can be used for the build, but “Elemental Weakness” is preferred because it has all elemental tags. The unique item “Fragment of the Sun” is suitable, as this unique shield provides skill increases for all elements (six levels in total).
The next step is choosing a wand: “A superb rare can give +5 to a specific element type, and a new rune – Assandra's Forest Witch Wisdom Rune, will add another additional level.”
Previously, the creators of Path of Exile 2 introduced fans to a simple way to share and download builds. Guide authors can post a link, and then players can copy the build — this method is relevant not only for PC gamers but also for console owners. Nothing else will need to be downloaded.
