The developers of Halo: Campaign Evolved published their July Q&A session, revealing new details about the game before its release on July 28. Premium Edition owners will get early access starting July 23.
Highlights from the answers:
- Xbox and PlayStation versions will be sold on physical discs.
- The game will feature a Machinima mode with a free camera, the ability to remove weapons, and control the Spartan while the camera is in flight.
- Players will be able to throw weapons to allies without having to pick up another from the ground.
- After the June demonstration, the developers refined the enemy AI.
- The LASO challenge will not use all 42 skulls, but a specially selected set.
- The most difficult achievements cannot be obtained with difficulty modifiers enabled.
- Pre-order customers will receive the Foundry Armory Pack, and owners of the physical collector's edition will find the code inside the Steelbook.
- The game will be allowed to be streamed during early access.
- Halo: Campaign Evolved has received "optimized" status for Windows portable PCs and a compatibility mark for Steam Deck.
- Friendly fire can be enabled or disabled in co-op.
- The developers confirmed that they have preserved the signature physics of the Halo series.
