Sony management commented on the possibility of a new PS Plus price increase. During a June meeting with investors, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Hideaki Nishino, Head of PlayStation Studios Hermen Hulst, and Senior Vice President of Finance Lynn Azar discussed the company's approach to service development.

Top managers were asked how to perceive possible future subscription price increases. In response, they stated that Sony strives to maintain a balance between the value of the service and user costs, while simultaneously increasing profitability.

PS Plus offers players high value, and we constantly maintain a balance between this value and cost. We use several tools to increase profitability, including pricing, tariff ratios, and content acquisition efficiency. The higher tiers currently account for 40% of subscribers, which reflects high demand for the service. PS Plus remains one of the key sources of profit, and by the end of fiscal year 2025, the service reached record profitability.

Although Sony has not announced a new price increase, management's comments indicate that changing subscription prices remains one of the tools for PlayStation Plus development.
