Recently, Relic Entertainment announced a new project, Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand. They offer a different take on real-time strategy.
Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand will be a standalone game, in the style of “wave defense”. Players will have to immerse themselves in battles alone or in co-op:
In Final Stand, you will have to establish a foothold, build a multi-layered defense system, and withstand escalating waves of enemies over 12 rounds, which become increasingly difficult over time. You will face formidable bosses and special “complications” within events unique to this game.
Players in Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand will be able to play as the US Army, British Forces, Wehrmacht, or German Afrika Korps on 5 custom maps. The developers promise progression with roguelike elements and high replayability, as well as a special endless mode “for the bravest players”.
