Moon Colony Bloodbath, a Board Game About a Bloody Bath on a Lunar Colony, to Be Released in Russia

Gamers from Russia will also have the opportunity to experience the board game Moon Colony Bloodbath, in which they will build structures on a lunar colony, supply the settlement with resources, and watch as people perish due to rebellious robots, various events, and other misfortunes.

The publisher Crowd Games announced that it will release Moon Colony Bloodbath (literal translation – “Bloody Bath on a Lunar Colony”) in Russian. This is a bold board game that breaks conventional rules, from Rio Grande Games and Donald X. Vaccarino, the author of "Dominion".

At first, it seems that "Moon Colony" is a typical engine-building strategy game using a common deck, set in a bright retro-future where humans attempt to colonize the Moon.

Many dreamed that cities on the Moon would be a stepping stone to conquering space, that humans and robots would live in peace, and that everything would go smoothly. But in reality, in Moon Colony Bloodbath, designed for 1–5 players, participants will have to fight a "Bloody Bath" for the lives of their colonists.

In this project, gamers will destroy their own engine, and the surviving people will become victory points. They will need to supply their settlement with resources and build structures as long as possible. Over time, more and more machines will rebel, more moonquakes will occur, and their charges will starve more often.

The game continues until one player's lunar colony has no people left, or until the players reach the bottom of the event deck. The person with the most survivors wins.

By the way, "Moon Colony" is a nominee for Kennerspiel des Jahres 2026 (a prestigious German board game award). Sales of this board game in Russia are scheduled to start in October.
