Some players misunderstood Paradox Interactive and became concerned about their game collection.

Paradox Interactive recently warned fans that it would be cleaning up its user base. The company plans to delete accounts of players who have been inactive for a long time.

Accounts of players who have not logged in since September 2025 will be deleted. To secure an account, it is enough to log in before March next year (this can be done through the launcher of any Paradox game):

If you haven't logged into your PDX account for a long time, now is the time to do so: we are cleaning up inactive PDX accounts that have been dormant since September 2025. This will only happen in March 2027, and we want to make sure everyone has enough time to log in and keep their account.

Some users began to worry about their libraries. A Paradox Interactive representative under the nickname Elmaze clarified that no one would take away games on Steam:

No, deleting an account does not affect the Steam library. If you have an unactivated game code on your Paradox account (and you cannot find the associated email), we will be able to restore access later. This is the same process as a normal loss of access.
