Axolot Games studio released Scrap Mechanic in "early access" format on PC via Steam in early 2016. Since then, the developers have gradually evolved the project and released updates. Updates were not very frequent, which annoyed some fans.
However, recently the creators of Scrap Mechanic broke their silence and announced that they are going to release the full version of the game in a few weeks, and also presented a gameplay trailer for the massive 1.0 update. It was named "Drilling Thunder", and the update will offer players new content and graphical improvements.
In Scrap Mechanic, players can fight waves of aggressive robots alone or with friends in co-op, create vehicles, and survive in a procedurally generated open world.
