In July, Embark Studios introduced update 1.36.0 for Arc Raiders. The developers studied feedback and reworked matchmaking.
Now the system tracks the user's playstyle separately for solo, duo, and trio matches and matches opponents accordingly:
Let's say you're a friendly player in solo, but your teammates prefer to dominate in PvP in trios. Previously, a friendly style in solo could lead to more cooperative matches in trios, and a PvP-oriented game in trios could lead to more PvP-focused matches in solo. Because of this, when changing squad size, the system needed time to adjust.
However, from now on, there is no such overlap — for example, a player will be able to freely switch from calmly completing tasks and gathering resources in “solo” to dynamic PvP battles in “trios” (if that's how they usually behave in these modes), simply by changing the squad size. The same applies to duo mode — all three game formats are now considered separately.
Product cards in the in-game store have been updated:
Arc Raiders developers also stated that they have fixed several bugs and confirmed that they are investigating an issue with crashes on Xbox consoles, as well as “conducting an investigation” into the causes of FPS drops on PC.
