The developers of the real-time strategy game Tempest Rising in July introduced a major update with a feature that players had long been asking for. A full-fledged "Map Editor" became available:

Open the included project files and create your own maps! Design small, medium, or large battlefields and create the perfect arenas for skirmishes and custom matches.

It's easy to share a finished map: you can upload your creations to the "Steam Workshop" on the Tempest Rising page, where other players can "subscribe" to them to download.

The Map Editor for Tempest Rising was released as a free add-on — you can add it to your Steam library via this link.

In addition, the update includes balance adjustments for various faction units and some "quality of life improvements." For example, a "pause/resume" icon has been added to the global production queue system — players can easily stop all production at once, and a statistics widget in the form of a drop-down list is now available for spectators.
