After 21 years, Neuro Hunter - a "sludgepunk" cyberpunk RPG in the spirit of Deus Ex - has been released on Steam

Publisher Strategy First continues to release various classic projects on Steam. Recently, Neuro Hunter appeared on Valve's service; the game's original release was in 2005.

The story centers on a lone cyber-fighter, Hunter, who finds himself in an underground dungeon inhabited by those sentenced to life imprisonment. As it turns out, secret biological research is being conducted in this place:

Hunter is forced to engage in battle with the Hacker, who has seized power in the underworld. Horrible creatures stand in Hunter's way – creations of secret laboratories and abandoned catacombs. But ordinary people also live here, who will help unravel the sinister intrigue hidden by the Corporation. Will Hunter see the sunlight or perish forever in the underground corridors?
