In July, Square Enix announced that it would soon close Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. The free-to-play game was released three years ago on mobile devices and PC via Steam.

The company explained that since its release in 2023, the developers have strived to provide players with the best possible experience. However, after “careful consideration,” they concluded that “continuing this would be difficult,” and therefore the decision was made to cease support for the project.

Developers have stopped selling in-game currency for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, and the servers are set to close in early October this year. In this project, players could relive key events from the main FF VII and its spin-offs, as well as explore new stories.

Collectible cards are available for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis on Steam, and players can craft badges from them. Typically, after online projects cease support, operations with items on the “Marketplace” are blocked, so collectors have a few months left.
