Team Fortress 2 received a summer update with new maps, cosmetic content, and fan fixes

In July, Valve returned to the team shooter Team Fortress 2 and introduced a major summer update. As usual, it included new content created by community members.

Players will be able to battle on six new maps — Dryfield, Camp Saxton, Shorelight, Redwood, Premuda, and Mojave.

The "Summer 2026 Cosmetic Case" loot box includes a collection of 24 cosmetic items; four new taunts and 12 unusual effects have been added to the game — seven for hats and five for taunts.

In addition, Valve introduced various "security and stability improvements" to the game, fixed the display of some effects, and added bug fixes suggested by fans.

For example, fans:

• Fixed incorrect alpha channel for Voodoo Juju backpack icon (fix suggested by DiskIntegrity).
• Fixed a bug where the Stat Clock model was incorrectly attached to dropped weapons (fix by rabscootle).
• Fixed a bug with the display of the Neo Tokyo war paint for the blue team.
