Helldivers 2 developers have published an appeal to the community. The Arrowhead Game Studios team spoke about combating cheaters and players who exploited bugs.

Cheaters spoil the game experience and also unfairly obtain the donation currency, Super Credits (which can also be earned through gameplay):

You told us that cheaters and exploiters spoil the experience, and that it feels unfair when someone "abuses" the Super Credits system while you earn them through honest work. We heard you and are starting to implement changes aimed at solving such problems...

From now on, if a Helldivers 2 player earns credits "at an anomalously high rate (significantly above the maximum rates ever recorded for players)", measures will be taken against them. The developers emphasize that this will only affect those who abuse the system — honest users who "loot bunkers" will not be affected.

The announcement from the Helldivers 2 creators sparked a mixed reaction. While some players celebrate victory over cheaters, others complain — urging the developers to "with the same enthusiasm" focus on improving the game: releasing patches, adjusting balance, and adding new content.
