In July, the Embark Studios team released a small technical update for Arc Raiders, which is designed to fix a vulnerability that allowed item duplication. This is not the first time players have found such "holes" in the system.
Community Manager Ossen addressed the players:
We have released a hotfix on all platforms to address the duplication issue, as well as a UI bug on the "Expeditions" screen that caused players on their fourth Expedition to see "Skill Points" instead of "Mysterious Rewards." As we have previously stated regarding the use of exploits: we will continue to ban accounts that have gained a significant advantage.
Recently, fans began to notice a "surge" of resources and weapons with pink rarity and top modifications. The new item duplication bug in Arc Raiders was related to the timing of item drops and, as some believe, was very easy to use.
Such exploits destroy the in-game economy of Arc Raiders. The game's audience has significantly decreased, so the appearance of new "dupers" becomes an even bigger problem.
