After several years of limited presence, Sony returned to Tokyo Game Show in 2024 and has been a regular participant ever since. Last year, the company unveiled Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which is set to be released next month.
Sony has not yet revealed which projects it will showcase at its booth. Games from PlayStation's internal studios and projects from third-party partners are expected. Among the possible premieres is Marvel's Wolverine, which is scheduled to be released a few days before the exhibition begins.
The organizers also confirmed the participation of major publishers, including Square Enix, Capcom, SEGA, Koei Tecmo, Atlus, and Level-5. In total, 759 developers have registered for Tokyo Game Show 2026.
The exhibition will take place from September 17 to 21 at the Makuhari Messe exhibition center in Chiba, Japan. This year, the event will last one day longer due to increased audience interest.
