Alkimia Interactive studio and THQ Nordic announced in July that they had released a hotfix for Gothic 1 Remake for update 1.0.3. This is a small technical update that does not add additional content to the game.
The developers said that they fixed a bug in the "Trial by Fire" quest, as well as an error with the sound (it could completely disappear), and eliminated camera errors during dialogues.
Hotfix changes for update 1.0.3:
- Fixed an audio channel leak that could lead to complete sound disappearance;
- Fixed a bug where cameras during dialogues did not finish properly (most often this happened with Melvin, Raven, Stone, and some other characters);
- Now the "Trial by Fire" quest can be successfully completed even if the braziers were lit before the quest began.
After the update, the Gothic 1 Remake version should be "CL 170775" (the version number can be checked in the "Settings" section - located in the lower right corner of the screen).
The developers did not specify when they plan to release the next update for the remake.
