(18+) Russian voice acting is being transferred to Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced - first localization test

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was recently released. The original AC IV had official Russian voice acting, but only text translation is available in the remake.

Dmitry "spider91" Vyacheslavovich, head of Mechanics VoiceOver (R.G. MVO), recently shared his developments — he tried to transfer the original voice acting to Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

The localizer spoke about the first successes and published an example of the old voice acting working in the remake:

Well... I defeated the reassembly of the forges themselves and checked the replacement (I turned off other sounds in the menu, because in the test phrase the volume balance was different and it was not audible)

According to spider91, at the moment "purely technically, the issue of sound replacement has been resolved" and now it only remains to deal with "parsing the voice acting from the original".

According to his estimates, more than 4 hours of new content have been added to Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. When asked what he plans to do with the unvoiced lines — "Finish with a neural network, or somehow re-voice?" — spider91 replied:

For now, I need to make a comparison and see what can be transferred at all, and through a sound analyzer, it will take time. Purely by comparing the total timing of the original and the remake, they added 4+ hours of pure speech, which is already the volume of some average game. So [I don't know], we'll see. But AI voice acting is definitely not for me, I will not help with such *****, I've had enough once.
