Krasnodar developer ports Silent Hill: Downpour to PC - without emulation, at 60+ FPS and with improved graphics

This summer, developer INDIE_RU (Alexey Shevchenko) released a new trailer for his project "Silent Hill: Downpour PC Port". He is porting one of the parts of the KONAMI horror franchise to PC.

The original release of Silent Hill: Downpour by Vatra Games took place in 2012 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. The developer decided to port the content to PC and has made significant progress:

I was able to single-handedly port and adapt almost all the content from the console to the computer. Currently, only one game location remains to be migrated.

Silent Hill: Downpour PC Port will run without emulation, the developer promises 60+ FPS and screen resolution of 2560 x 1440+; full support for keyboard, mouse, and Xbox 360 gamepad; improved shadows and lighting.

Alexey Shevchenko has not yet announced a specific release date for the unofficial version of Silent Hill: Downpour – the trailer ends with "coming soon".

New parts of the Silent Hill franchise are coming to PC, for example, the Silent Hill 2 remake and Silent Hill f are already available, and Silent Hill: Townfall by Screen Burn studio is expected to be released in a few months.
