In July, Slipgate Ironworks studio announced the real-time strategy game Tempest Rising expansion, The Veti's Wrath. The developers released a trailer and revealed some details.
They are preparing a full story campaign for the Veti people, which they position as the “final chapter of Tempest Rising.” It will include 11 missions.
Players will be invited to lead the Veti: unite fragmented forces, reclaim technology, and “eradicate the corruption threatening to destroy your people from within.”
The Veti will have access to 9 buildings and 5 defensive structures, 7 vehicles, 6 infantry units and 5 air units, a superweapon, teleportation, and much more.
You can add The Veti's Wrath expansion for Tempest Rising to your Steam wishlist via this link. The exact release date has not yet been announced, but the release is planned for 2026. The campaign DLC will be premium, but all owners of the base game will be able to play as the Veti in multiplayer for free.
The developers have already released a new demo version of Tempest Rising, in which players can explore two missions of the Veti campaign, as well as several missions for other factions.
Previously, the developers of Tempest Rising introduced a map editor. It is distributed as a free add-on and allows players to create their own maps, which can be shared with other community members through the "Steam Workshop".
