Orks use a massive war machine, but the Imperium has ways to counter even such a threat.

Recently, Creative Assembly studio presented new gameplay for the global strategy game Total War: Warhammer 40,000. The developers stated that their game will feature planetary systems with various biomes.

After a quick demonstration of several planets, they zoomed in on one that was invaded by Orks. According to the story, the governor called for reinforcements, and Imperial ships were positioned in orbit: they send detachments and conduct orbital bombardments that damage the enemy.

During the battle, the destructible environment system in Total War: Warhammer 40,000 was also highlighted. This is not a "cosmetic" effect; the mechanic directly affects gameplay. For example, players will be able to demolish a wall to open an alternative path for their army.

The footage shown in the video is from a "work-in-progress" build, meaning it does not reflect the final quality of the content, and some things may change during development.
