One of the main characters of Resident Evil Requiem, Leon Kennedy, appeared very cool in this installment of the franchise. As it turned out, the character could have had more memorable lines.
During a recent interview with the author of the YouTube channel "Play, Watch, Listen+", Nick Apostolides, Leon's voice actor, shared information about one of the lines that did not make it into the release version of the game:
That line that didn't make it in would have been my favorite. When [Leon] was fighting the spider, I wanted to say — and we even recorded it: "You know, you've been a real itsy-bitsy pain in my ass." [That line] would have been just fire.
In English, this line sounds like "you know, you've been a real itsy-bitsy pain in my ***", the "itsy bitsy spider" part refers to the song about a tiny spider. In the game, Leon fights a giant spider, so the phrase could have been a successful jab, in the spirit of the character.
The interview segment went viral in the gaming community. Some players feel that Capcom "robbed" them, and also express the opinion that modders could add such a phrase to the game.
Capcom is currently preparing a new add-on for Resident Evil Requiem, but the developers have not yet revealed its details.
