Modder Removed 30 FPS Cap in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Cutscenes

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was recently released, and players had complaints about the remake. While some criticize Ubisoft for the large number of microtransactions (the total cost of DLC exceeded the price of the game), others criticize the developers for limiting the frame rate in cutscenes.

Ubisoft confirmed that it is aware of the issue with cutscene playback at 30 FPS. The frame rate in cutscenes is locked if ray tracing quality, BVH, and terrain parameters are set to maximum. As a "temporary solution," the developers suggested resetting the settings to a pre-set and not manually changing the specified parameters.

Another solution is available for more advanced gamers. A modder under the nickname rippoff presented a project on Nexus Mods with the telling name "ACBlackFlagFix."

The enthusiast based his work on another mod, ACShadowsFix by Lyall. His modification includes a set of various fixes, including: unlocking FPS in cutscenes, correct cloth physics at 60 FPS, and the removal of pillarboxing.
